As Christians, we are to respond to conflict in a much different way than the world. Conflict provides opportunity to glorify God, serve other people, and grow to be like Christ.
PeaceMaker’s is established to equip pastoral and lay leadership to respond to conflict biblically and move toward reconciliation.
PeaceMaking teams consist of 5-9 individuals who feel a strong sense of burden and call to this ministry of reconciliation.
Formal training (annual national convention) is a prerequsite for inclusion to the team. This team is responsible for the PeaceMaking process within LHBC, as well as teaching leadership and laypersons basic PeaceMaker’s principles.
An overview of this ministry will occur in early spring. All ABF, small group, deacons, staff, and elders will be encouraged to participate in a training weekend.
From this leadership, or others that may be directly recruited, a team of up to nine individuals feeling God’s call to this ministry will be required to attend the PeaceMaker’s National Training, September 13-16 in Denver, Co.
Launch date of October 1.
